Mayor Tomas Osmeña officially declared open the 2008 Sinulog Grand Parade.
“In behalf of the City Government and the Sinulog Foundation… in behalf of the Señor Sto. Niño, I am honored to declare the Sinulog Grand Parade officially open,” he said in his speech at the Cebu City Sports Center.
Osmeña earlier warned the public against pickpockets.
