BE prepared to walk distances longer than usual in traveling today, as all roads lead to the Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC) for the 2009 Sinulog grand parade.
The public is advised to wear comfortable outfits and put on their walking shoes, as roads are closed to motorists and routes are changed to clear the carousel route.
Aside from the CCSC grandstand, those who would like to see the 44 contingents perform could do so along Imus Road, Gen. Maxilom Ave., Fuente Osmeña, Osmeña Blvd., and P. del Rosario St.
Including the participants in the higante, float, and puppeteers categories, 112 groups are joining the grand parade.
Before the Polynesian-inspired finale that will precede the fireworks display, Mayor Tomas Osmeña will give his Sinulog address, via tele-conferencing. (more)
