The Sinulog season kicked off last January 6 with the Opening Salvo: Walk with Jesus held at 4 a.m. Thousands of devotees of the Holy Child Jesus joined the walk, which started at Fuente Osmeña to Basilica del Sto. Niño.
A mass was held the Basilica after the walk. The installation of the Hermano and Hermana Mayores for 2011 was also held.
