‘Unexpected boost’

THE gloomy weather may have dampened the spirits of the Cebuanos this week but organizers of the this Sunday’s Cebu City Marathon are hoping it will get dark this Sunday.

“Rain or shine, magpadayon gyud ta!” said Cebu Executive Runners Club (CERC) president Jesse Taborada.

Organizers said rains won’t be a bother as it will help cool down the runners.

“Overcast skies and drizzles are preferred by most runners,” CERC member and Sun.Star Cebu columnist John Pages said.

According to Pag-asa, it’s going be mostly cloudy with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms this Sunday. There is also a possibility of rain but it will only be light and won’t last long. (more)
