Devotees City accommodates out-of-towners

There should be no politics in culture and the arts, said Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama during the launching of the Devotee City along with Councilor Roberto Cabarrubias.

Both officials belong to different political groups but have worked together for years for the Devotee City, an area at the CompaƱa Maritima where 100 container vans are stacked together to make a two-story housing compound for those who live outside Cebu City.

Devotees only have to show their bus or boat tickets to be able to avail of the temporary housing for those visiting Cebu City for the Sinulog festivities. Read the rest of this entry
