SINULOG 2009 Festival, one of the biggest and grandest festivals in the Philippines, officially opened Friday, January 9, with its launching program held at Fuente Osmeña, Cebu City.
The program, which started around 5 p.m., featured different groups dancing to the Sinulog beat. Among those present were the Mandaue City Children’s Choir, Dancesports Team Cebu, and dance troupes from Cebu’s schools and universities.
As expected, revelers were treated to a grand fireworks display at the Fuente Osmeña Circle.
The finalists for Miss Cebu 2009 were also presented during the pre-pageant night, which followed right after the grand fireworks display.
