Aside from the image of Senior Sto. Niño and the thousands of street performers clad with their grand and colorful costumes, the grandest festival of Cebu – the Sinulog will never be complete without the Sinulog theme song – the Sinulog beat.
This year, the Sinulog Foundation Inc. has launched another version of the Sinulog theme song – the overture Sinulog beat or the orchestra version, which was arranged by Roberto del Rosario.
Sinulog Foundation Inc. chairman Ricky Ballesteros said since 2002 they have been modifying the Sinulog beat to be played in different occasions and complement different genres, without “losing its original beat.”
In this year’s Sinulog, the traditional Sinulog theme composed by Mike Hanopol, ‘Pit Senior I-syagit ug Kusog’ by Dandin Ranillo and the newest – the overture version will be played together.
