THE spotlight will be directed on one beautiful woman tonight as she will be crowned Miss Cebu 2010 at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.
This year’s pageant is taking on Cebu’s heritage as its theme, putting focus on the rich cultural and heritage Cebu has to offer.
“It’s like back to the basics. Cebu’s rich cultural heritage has been under our noses all this time. Now we are grabbing that,” said Tara Frances Oliver, 3rd runner-up of the Miss Cebu 2009 pageant and one of the organizers of this year’s search.
To highlight on Cebu’s rich cultural heritage, the Miss Cebu 2010 contestants took part of the Paseo sa Kabilin tour, wherein they visited all of Cebu’s cultural sites.
“We had the girls ride carriages from Fort San Pedro to Magellan’s Cross, and they saw the heritage sites of Cebu,” said Oliver.(more)
