Carcar, Talisay grab grand prizes in Sinulog sa Lalawigan 2011

THE preciseness of their movements and their artistry in interpreting the hand movement of the devotees whenever they hear the chorus of the “Batobalani sa Gugma” has earned them the nod of the judges.

The contingent from the Department of Education (DepEd) Carcar City Division emerged victorious during the Sinulog sa Kabataan sa Lalawigan, high school category, yesterday afternoon.

This, as the Pajo Elementary Elementary School of Lapu-Lapu City failed to earn their grand slam title as the best contingent for the elementary level.

March Chavez Mandal, the choreographer of Pajo, lamented their failure to get a three-peat in the competition.

The Pajo dancers only came second to the contingent from San Roque Elementary School.

“Anugon baya, but happy gihapon mi kay para man ni ni Senyor Sto Niño,” he said.

Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia lauded participants from the Province. (more)
