WORLD-CLASS and well-organized.
Participating runners, supporters and observers of the Cebu City Marathon applauded organizers for yet another good event.
The run for this year displayed a major improvement from last year, with the growth of registered runners and first-rate management of facilities.
“This was a good race. Better than before because coordinated tanan—traffic, water and food,” said Cesar Bordalba, who ran the half -marathon.
Many were in awe as the fireworks display colored the skies of Cebu before the start of the race.
Most runners agreed that the route this year was better despite the challenge of the uphill roads because of the heritage sites that were situated along the way. The Sinulog dancers also contributed to a fiesta atmosphere.
Add to that, the tunnel also became the most exciting part of the race and most runners looked forward to crossing it. A set of blowers were placed in the tunnel to keep it cool. (more)
